Organic Extraction Systems
SPE-DEX® 4790 Extractor System

The Spe-Dex 4790 Automated Extraction System is a fully automated sample preparation
system designed to rapidly process samples for trace level analysis of organic chemical contaminants from aqueous samples using United States EPA methods for Solid Phase Extraction (SPE).

SPE-DEX® 3000 Extractor System

The Spe-Dex 3000 Extractor automates EPA Method 1664A and provides an alternative to expensive, labor intensive LLE methods for extracting oil and grease from aqueous samples. Using a combination of advanced liquid handling and Pacific O&G Disks disks, the Spe-Dex 3000 Extraction System delivers the accuracy and consistency-of-data laboratories need to comply with Method 1664A QC specifications.

SPE-DEX® 1000 Extractor System

A fully automated, single-station extraction system, the Spe-Dex® 1000 provides maximum speed, accuracy and simplicity for extracting a wide range of "clean" and "dirty" aqueous samples for oil & grease and non-polar material (NPM) by EPA Method 1664A. The Spe-Dex® 1000XL is ideal for facilities that process only a few samples each week.

Organic Extraction Systems Controller
Envision™ Platform Controller

The Envision Platform is the next generation controller for the Spe-Dex® 4790 Extractor system. Built on proven technology, it is the first web-based controller for SPE. The Envision Controller offers an easy-to-use, compact and user-friendly interface for controlling and interacting with up to eight extractors. You can develop, save, and transfer methods.

Solid Phase Extraction (SPE) Disks

Pacific O&G™ SPE Disks

Using a combination of advanced liquid handling and Pacific O&G™ Disks, and the Spe-Dex® 3000 Extraction System, you will receive the accuracy and consistency of data you need to comply with EPA Method 1664A QC specifications.
Atlantic SPE Disk

The Horizon Technology Atlantic SPE Disk is proven to be effective in extracting analytes from water samples, both drinking water and waster water. Using divinyl benzene (DVB) adsorbent, they are designed and certified for automation with the SPE-DEX® 4790 Automated Extractor from Horizon Technology.

Solvent Evaporation Systems
Reclaimer™ SRS

The Reclaimer™ Solvent Recovery System is designed to condense and collect solvent vapors which are generated by Horizon Technology's DryVap® Concentrator System. Using a vacuum pump, the solvent vapors are pulled through a cold condenser coil, where the solvent vapors are chilled and converted back into a liquid form.

Speed-Vap™ III

The Speed-Vap™ III Solvent Evaporation System provides safe and fast evaporation of n-hexane solvent for oil and grease extractions. A vortex airflow combined with precise temperature control enables the Speed-Vap system to quickly and safely evaporate n-hexane solvent from oil and grease extractions.

Solvent Recovery Systems

Solvent Trap™

The Solvent Trap™ recovery system captures up to 70% of the n-hexane solvent vapor from EPA Method 1664A oil & grease extractions, minimizing the release of n-hexane into the atmosphere.

Reclaimer™ SRS

The is designed to condense and collect solvent vapors which are generated by Horizon Technology's DryVap® Concentrator System. Using a vacuum pump, the solvent vapors are pulled through a cold condenser coil, where the solvent vapors are chilled and converted back into a liquid form.

Concentrator System

DryVap™ Concentrator System

For environmental applications the DryVap™ Concentrator System automates the drying, evaporation and concentration of organic extracts prior to GC and GC/MS analysis. Designed to emulate the traditional Kuderna Danish (KD) method, the DryVap™ Concentrator System combines what were once manual steps into one automated process. Using a unique combination of vacuum, heat and sparge gas, the DryVap™ Concentrator System rapidly evaporates and gently concentrates extractions down to a precise desired volume.

Separation Membrane

DryDisk™ Separation Membrane

DryDisk™ Separation Membranes offer a much more efficient means of drying solvents in organic extractions than sodium sulfate. Because it is a physical separation rather than a chemical process to remove residual water from organic solvent extractions, DryDisk membranes eliminate the problems inherent with chemical drying such as; retention of water-soluble compounds, over-saturation, caking, oven drying, messy waste removal, inability to handle emulsions.
